John Owens began working in the mortgage industry originating loans in 1993. He had previously worked for a national financial services firm preparing financial plans for his clients. He quickly recognized that the vast majority of his clients needed to refinance their existing mortgages; which led him into the industry. In 1994, he assisted a highly recognized and reputable real estate brokerage firm to establish their own in-house mortgage company.  John had previously owned and successfully operated his own service business from 1981 to 1991. His vast experience in business administration and managing personnel enabled him to take on this new and exciting challenge. John quickly began an intense training period to learn as much as possible about running a mortgage business inside a real estate office. The company grew and prospered over the next eight years and was sold along with the real estate company. For a number of years, John has also worked with builders, developers, and commercial lenders for construction and commercial financing. With over 15 years in the business, John has helped hundreds obtain their dream of home ownership or to profit through real estate investment and development; John always has his clients’ long-term financial health at the forefront of all his transactions.
